New $4M Star of the Sea Youth Center Planned at St. Andrew Catholic Church
St. Andrew Catholic Church is preparing to expand its Tanglewood-area campus with a new youth facility. The planned Star of the Sea Youth Center, located at 3312 Dryden Road, is estimated at $4 million and will be built by Fort Worth-based FPI Builders with designs led by Martsolf Architecture, also of Fort Worth.
According to state filings, the project will add 9,329 square feet across two stories, with construction expected to begin in November 2025 and wrap up by January 2027. The building will provide new space for student programs, parish events, and community activities, enhancing the church’s ministry resources alongside existing facilities such as the Pastoral Center and Parish Hall.
Founded in 1953, St. Andrew Catholic Church has long served the Tanglewood neighborhood and Fort Worth’s Catholic community. Its school and parish programs continue to grow, and the new youth center reflects a commitment to strengthening opportunities for young parishioners.
FPI Builders, a Fort Worth-based construction firm, will serve as general contractor. The company has delivered numerous religious and commercial projects across North Texas, including the St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church campus in Prosper, Christ Chapel Bible Church West Campus in Fort Worth, and commercial developments for local clients.
Martsolf Architecture will lead the design. The firm’s portfolio spans faith-based and institutional projects such as the Nolan Catholic High School renovations in Fort Worth, additions at Holy Redeemer Catholic Parish in Aledo, and multiple diocesan facilities throughout North Texas.
Once completed, the youth center will provide St. Andrew Catholic Church with much-needed space for ministries, retreats, and parish gatherings, reinforcing the church’s role as both a spiritual and community hub in Fort Worth.
