$34M Apartment Project by WillMax Capital Planned Near Z Boaz Park in Fort Worth
A major new multifamily project is on the horizon in Fort Worth as Dallas-based WillMax Capital prepares to bring a 246-unit apartment community to the edge of Z Boaz Park.
Designed to offer modern living with access to one of the city’s most historic green spaces, the development represents a $34 million investment in a rapidly growing corridor of West Fort Worth.
$34M Project to Feature Clubhouse, Pool, and Fitness Center
The development, located at 5401 Benbrook Blvd, will include four apartment buildings offering 246 residential units. Residents will have access to a clubhouse, fitness center, swimming pool, and parking with private garages.
With these amenities, WillMax is targeting renters seeking a blend of convenience and lifestyle-oriented housing options in Fort Worth’s expanding western neighborhoods.
Proximity to Z Boaz Park Adds Neighborhood Appeal
The project’s location alongside Z Boaz Park gives it a unique advantage. The 134-acre park, once home to a public golf course, now serves as a recreational hub with athletic fields, trails, and playgrounds.
For future residents, having direct access to such a large green space enhances the community’s appeal. The surrounding neighborhood, with a mix of established single-family homes, schools, and local retail, continues to see rising demand for quality multifamily housing.
Construction Timeline and Permitting Progress
The apartment community is scheduled to break ground in January 2026 and is expected to be completed by Summer 2027. According to city records, a grading work permit for the 13.9-acre site was submitted in early September 2025 and is now under review, a key step before full construction begins.
Design by GSR Andrade Architects
The design is being led by GSR Andrade Architects, a Dallas-based firm recognized for its multifamily, commercial, and institutional work. The firm has delivered projects such as the North Lake College campus expansion in Irving, the Boland Office Building in Fort Worth, and numerous multifamily developments across the region.
Their approach balances functionality and contemporary aesthetics, aligning with the vision for this new residential project.
WillMax Capital Leads Development
Developer WillMax Capital Management, Inc., also based in Dallas, is spearheading the project. With a portfolio spanning thousands of apartment units across Texas and the Southwest, the firm has built a reputation for both value-add acquisitions and ground-up developments.
Recent communities include Pavilion Townplace in Dallas, Bent Tree Trails in Addison, and Villa Del Mar in Arlington. The Z Boaz Park project marks another major step in WillMax’s expansion into growing urban corridors.
