Original ChopShop Tenant Remodel at Fort Worth’s South Main
Original ChopShop is preparing to open its second Fort Worth location with a new restaurant planned for 601 S Main Street. The tenant remodel will transform a 3,113 square foot space with updated walls, ceilings, finishes, lighting, and kitchen build-out.
According to state filings, construction is expected to begin in November 2025 with completion slated for April 2026. The cost of the project is estimated at $400,000.
Who Is Original ChopShop?
Founded in 2013, Original ChopShop has built its reputation as a fast-casual brand centered around fresh, healthy meals served quickly. Its menu includes salads, protein bowls, juices, smoothies, sandwiches, and breakfast wraps, offering an alternative for diners who want both convenience and nutrition.
With 26 locations across Texas, Arizona and Georgia, the brand is continuing an aggressive expansion strategy to bring its “feel-good food” concept to more neighborhoods, including South Main in Fort Worth.
Leadership: Design and Growth at ChopShop
Overseeing the rollout of new restaurants is Archie Andrews, Vice President of Design & Construction at Original ChopShop. His responsibilities include site planning, permitting, tenant improvements, and ensuring each new location maintains the company’s vision while fitting into the character of its local setting. Andrews’ work has been central to the brand’s continued growth in Texas and beyond.
Design by ID Studio 4, Now Fusion AE
The design for the South Main project is being handled by ID Studio 4, an Irving-based architecture and design firm with a strong portfolio in restaurant and retail spaces. In 2025, ID Studio 4 merged with Sperides Reiners Architects, Inc. to form Fusion AE, a national firm with more than 100 team members specializing in architecture, engineering, and multi-sector projects.
In the Dallas–Fort Worth area, the firm has worked on numerous restaurant and commercial developments, making it well-positioned for Original ChopShop’s latest expansion.
Property Owner: Greenstar Development
The building at 601 S Main is owned by Greenstar Development of Austin. Since its founding in 2013, GSD has focused on mixed-use, multi-family, and retail developments across Texas, including projects in Fort Worth’s Near Southside. The company is known for targeting high-growth urban neighborhoods, aligning with South Main’s continued revitalization and appeal for new restaurants and retail brands.
