Blue Flag Distillery Expands with Phase 2 Bar and Event Space Remodel in Near Southside
Blue Flag Distillery is preparing for the next stage of its growth in Fort Worth's Near Southside as plans move forward for a significant Phase 2 remodel at its facility located at 700 South Main Street.
According to state filings, the project will consist of a 6,616-square-foot interior finish-out that will convert existing office space into a bar and assembly area. Construction is expected to begin in mid-June 2026 and reach completion by the end of December 2026.
State filings place the project valuation at approximately $5 million, while city permit records list a job cost of $1.4 million. The Certificate of Occupancy permit remains under plan review at the time of writing.
CO records show the building is planned to include approximately 20,600 square feet of brewery production space, 9,900 square feet dedicated to event venue operations, and 6,616 square feet allocated to bar and meeting areas. The current Phase 2 work focuses specifically on the bar and assembly portion of the property and includes new mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
The latest brewery construction activity follows an earlier remodeling effort that culminated in the issuance of a Certificate of Occupancy in late June 2025. With this second phase, Blue Flag Distillery continues to expand its presence in Near Southside while adding new hospitality and gathering space for visitors.
State filings identify Philip Newburn Architecture of Fort Worth as the architect for the project. As development momentum continues throughout Near Southside, the Blue Flag Distillery expansion represents another investment in one of Fort Worth's most active entertainment and brewery construction corridors.
